Hi. The recent update had been a great inprovement. However, annotations are completely disabled

    • Maeve says:

That’s true Joost, the beta annotations feature has been removed in 2.0, but will be back in its new and improved form in 2.1. We weren’t happy with where the beta annotations was at, and didnt want to hold up the release of 2.0. We chose to move annotations out for now, and focus on getting it right in 2.1.

the App is quite easy to use. I’m looking forward to coming features like Annotations and Hotlinks.
Loading a PDF is fast, but the image isn’t sharp. After a few seconds the image gets sharpened. Tapping near the bottom forwards to the next part of the page, but unfortunately the App again needs some seconds to sharpen the image. When singing, there’s no time for waiting until the image gets sharp. I’like the App to open a PDF and sharpen all parts of the image completely so that there’s no waiting when flipping a page.

    Kind regards

    • Maeve says:

Glad you like the app so far Uwe. Interesting comment about the sharpen time… I haven’t noticed that in testing nor had other reports of it. What format files are you using. And what size are the files? Just wondering if its taking a few seconds to render due to some format or size issue?

  3. Patrick Hsieh says:

V 2.0 much faster than first version, thanks! Orpheus force closes my Galaxy Note Pro (12″) whenever I try to open the external SD card. Seems to work OK with internal memory and Dropbox. Any ideas?

    • Maeve says:

Cool, glad you like the improved speed. Thanks for reporting the SD card issue… Will look into that right away.

  4. Jason says:

When is 2.1 scheduled to come out?

    • Maeve says:

Jeremy & I work on Orpheus in our spare time so its really hard to put a specific date on the 2.1 release. Our current priority is to release a free version of Orpheus – I’m hoping that will be ready to go really soon. In the background I know Jeremy is working on the Annotations and a few other new features for a major release in the new year. Hope that helps answer your question Jason.

  5. Gabriel says:

Awesome app .. tho .. in terms of live performance .. it’s missing a KEY feature
    (in my opinion)
to minimise taps/screens between songs (when no setlist is provided)
I’ve send you an email about it.

    However I conduct a 16 to 20some piece band.
It’s lovely that I can store ALL the parts in separate folders and Enable them
according to which instrument it will belong to in the specific date.

AND it can be also used to different shows/bands etc..

Thanx for an awesome app !

Hope you make that QuickSearch happen.

    All The Best!

    • Maeve says:

Cool! Thanks for your positive feedback Gabriel. It’s really nice to hear!

I like your idea for Quick Search. I’ll definitely pop that on our list for future consideration.

      Thanks again 🙂

    Hi Maeve,
Is it possible to use Airturn in Master/Slave mode to control multiple tablets from one device?

It would be a killer feature for small ensembles.

    • Maeve says:

It’s not a feature at present, but definitely something we have on the wishlist for the future. Think large orchestra’s in rehearsals… that sort of thing.

  7. Alex says:

    Hi Maeve,

First of all congratulations for yours app!
I am interesting and I want to know if this app includes a scroll feature between songs of a list.
I mean it is possible to go to the next song of a list instead of moving back to the list and select the next one?

  8. kathy says:

I wish I could add files to existing folders. I don’t like having to create a new file for just one score. Also, can’t figure out how to get scores to all charts.

    • Maeve says:

      Hi Kathy,

You can add new charts (files) to existing folders. They should appear in All Charts view a few seconds after they are added. It also works for Dropbox folders.

We have a knowledgebase article explaining how to get your music into Orpheus here.

      Hope that helps.

  9. kathy says:

Thank you! I figured that out. :). But now no charts show up in all charts, although the files are there and dropbox synch is on. Error message says file not found,,,

  10. Peter says:

    Thanks for working on this!

Is there any way to have the next page scroll up from the bottom, so that one can have the bottom of one page and the top of the next page on the screen at the same time? EZPDF does this, and it makes it much easier to look ahead.

I am looking forward to the Annotations feature.

By the way, I also have the problem that some pages take awhile to sharpen up. I wonder if maybe that is an issue with documents that have been scanned?

    • Maeve says:

Hi Peter, the half screen turn is something on our list to consider in the future, but hasn’t made the priority development list at this stage. In other words, we’ll do it if/when we get a chance, but it’s not a feature you could expect to see in the near future. Annotations is currently top of our todo list so hopefully you’ll see that released soon.

Re the sharpen issue – it could be an issue with the file size (scan format) or something unrelated. If you’d like help troubleshooting further please feel free to send us a note via the Contact page.

  11. kathy says:

Maeve, why can’t I see my songs in all charts? Tried for 2 hours yesterday, then suddenly they all loaded. Today I’m back to the same error message… (Does it matter whether you tap on the words or the list lines to the left of all charts?)

    • Maeve says:

The comment thread on an article is not the best place for troubleshooting. Please may I ask you to submit this support request over on the Contact page and I’ll be able to help you better from there. Thanks.

  12. Matt says:

How do I get a chart into a set list?

  13. Jack says:

I am new to the app and like it, but why am I asked if I want to save the document everytime I go to exit from the chart I just played and then I can select the next chart. Even though it is minimal it is to much time because we go from one song right into the next. Any way that I can stop it from asking to save the chart everytime I exit it?

    • Maeve says:

The ‘save document’ should only pop up when you’ve got unsaved Annotations. If you want to save those annotations you will need to save the doc before you exit. The reminder is necessary as we wouldn’t want you to accidentally wipe out all your carefully made annotations! Feel free to submit a support ticket here if you need further help with this.

  14. Saul Fox says:

I am a pianist and would love to have a landscape, side by side view that would look just like paper sheet music. I bought a very large tablet (24 inch) for this purpose but can’t find an app that will do it as it should be done. Maybe you could add this feature?

  15. Piero says:

Congratulations to the program that has a good chance. I wanted to ask if you can rearrange the lists possibly changing the order of the lists.

    Thank you and greetings.

    • Maeve says:

Thanks Piero. No sorry, rearranging Set Lists is not a feature just yet, although it’s on our ToDo list for down the track.

  16. Emily says:

Is there a way to delete a pdf from a folder or from all charts?

  17. Sharon says:

Does Orpheus handle lead sheets? Is it able to transpose?

  18. Michael says:

How can I make Orpheus the standard pdf viewer in Android? Standard function does not work.
