Need help with Orpheus? You’re in the right place!

Files won’t open

Having problems opening a chart in Orpheus?  This is usually caused by a corrupt file.

1.) Try to open the same file in another app. Does it open correctly?
If no, then you have confirmed the file itself is corrupt.
If yes, move to next step.

2.) Do you use a Mac? If yes, then it is quite likely that you have unknowingly copied hidden files into your Sheet Music folder and it is these files which are messing with Orpheus.
To fix this you’ll need to show hidden files, and remove the offending files. After you’ve done that, Orpheus should have no troubles.

3.) Still having problems? Please submit a support ticket and we’ll help you troubleshoot further.

Maeve Lander is a software developer by day, trumpeter and arranger by night. She created Orpheus ~8 years ago, when Android was first born. It has gone through iteration over the years, but has always held true to the original vision; a minimalist sheet music reader that just does one thing, really well.
