This release includes several minor fixes and enhancements to improve experience.  There is one major new feature…the app is now optimised for Chromebook – good news for users looking at large size tablets. Google makes several detachable / convertible Chromebooks of 12″ and 14″ – lovely big screens for sheet music with a very affordable price tag. ?

In less good news, I’ve had to remove the Google Drive integration from the app. Google deprecated an API, making it no longer possible to fetch data in a way that is feasible for the use-case. Several workarounds were explored, but results were unsatisfactory – clunky with horribly slow loading. On balance, I decided it best to remove the Google Drive integration entirely, rather than set users up for a frustrating experience. To those who would have liked to sync a Drive folder with Orpheus, apologies, and thank you for your understanding. ?

Maeve Lander is a software developer by day, trumpeter and arranger by night. She created Orpheus ~8 years ago, when Android was first born. It has gone through iteration over the years, but has always held true to the original vision; a minimalist sheet music reader that just does one thing, really well.
