Orpheus version 3.1 released in July 2018 is a major update, adding features and significantly refactoring the code-base. Most significantly, the underlying PDF Library has been replaced. The new, modern library will provide great improvements in stability and performance, and open up opportunities for continued feature development.

  • Major improvement to Annotations
    • Adds colour choices
    • Adds thickness control
    • Adds eraser tool
    • Adds undo/redo tool
    • Adds text note tool
    • Fixes annotations cache layer bug (blank score)
  • Better page viewing options
    • single page mode
    • 2 pages side by side

I hope you will be impressed with the improvements in 3.1.  I would like to sincerely thank everyone who has written in with feedback over the years. It has been incredibly encouraging, and also really useful! I’ve taken a lot of your suggestions on board, and hope you love the new Orpheus as much as I do.

It has gone through iteration over the years, but has always held true to the original vision; a minimalist sheet music reader that just does one thing, really well.
