Managing Set Lists

Visit the Set Lists screen to create and use Set Lists. This feature is designed for performance, allowing you to perform a pre-selected list of charts.

It should be pretty intuitive, but for any who are struggling, check out the video demonstration below:

Maeve Lander is a software developer by day, trumpeter and arranger by night. She created Orpheus ~8 years ago, when Android was first born. It has gone through iteration over the years, but has always held true to the original vision; a minimalist sheet music reader that just does one thing, really well.

You need to add a search function to the set list add function, or an add to set list option to the searched files once they are found. Either or both would work when you have a lot of files to scroll through to get to the one you want to add to a set.

Great idea! Will add it to our todo list for future consideration. Thanks Jefferson.

Can you provide a compact view for all charts and for set lists? I see it is taking 3 lines of space for every title. Having a single line per title would be great and adding columns to maximize the number of titles on a page would be even better.

It sounds like you might have it showing paths currently… use the overflow menu (top right) to hide paths and you will find each charts takes only one line.

Good day,

It would be great to have a folder/tree structure when creating a setlist. I’ve made a tree structure with for example sheet music by artist. sadly I see all my sheetmusic in one long list when making a setlist.

I think Multiple folders of sheet music combined with the filter function would solve this for you. 🙂 Please give that a look here.

Is it possible to add chart twice to the same set list, e.g. at the start and end?

Yes, that will work perfectly fine.

Is it possible to reorder setlists? I keep setlists from previous gigs and I’d like to have the actual ones on top of the list.

It’s not currently a feature but I like the idea and have it on the todo list for a future release. Thanks for your feedback. 🙂

Thanks in advance. Even without it’s a great app and I hate remembering the days when I had to move around different fat folders full of sheets 🙂

Recently the app has stopped moving to the next song. Can use foot pedal to advance to next page in a chart, but it will no longer go to the next song in my set list, what can be done? Feature is needed for live performances

Thanks for writing in about this. It’s actually an intentional change in the latest version which I implemented as a result of rather a lot of angry letters! People found it very annoying when they reached the end of the piece and accidentally turned one page too far and found themselves losing the chart from view! In cases where it takes a few moments to load the chart back up it really gave people a scary moment during performance. The request was for it to be impossible to accidentally turn past the end of the chart. So the new feature requires a page turn by touching the screen when turning between charts in a Set List.

ah, that’s too bad. Would be good if it was an option to set in settings. I really like the next-song–advance, and the load time isn’t a prob if you cache or store in SD

Actually it is an optional setting now 🙂

The app works well so far. Annotations are clear and reasonably easy to switch in and out of though switching between annotation mode and viewing can be a little slow and clunky.

I would love a tool to edit PDF/ chart names within the app so a downloaded chart with a busy name could be changed and more easily found without having to go back to the original source, change the name and then download again, delete old chart etc.

Thanks for this app !
But one thing that could be really useful, for those who have massive pdf that take many time to split in individual charts is giving the possibilité to add bookmarks in setlists.

Good news – the bookmarks functionality already exists. Open any chart from All Charts, and you should see the bookmark icon in the top action bar. Give it a go. ?

Loving the app so far. Thanks for making one for all of us who don’t need stuff like midi programming and backing tracks. One question, though: is it in any way possible to assemble a setlist from bookmarks? For example:

Chart 1 – Page 79 in Real book 1
Chart 2 – Page 274-276 in Real book 1
Chart 3 – Page 102 in New Real Book 3
Etc. Etc.

I know about the bookmark function, but i can’t seem to add the same pdf to a setlist more than once, and also, the setlist just says the file names, and as far as I can see, I can’t rename them so I can see the song titles.

That would be really convenient when juggling songbook pdfs.

Thanks for the feedback and glad you like the app 🙂 Unfortunately no, what you’ve described is not an available feature. Sorry!
